   A Great Word Game

What follows below is a brief description of the macros found in the
Word Boosters Shareware package.  For a more complete description, download the package and read the full documentation.

Wysiwyg Changes

   ScreenShot #1   ScreenShot #2

Experimenting with font, paragraph and theme changes is a slow, trial and error process. NO MORE! With the Wysiwyg Change macros, you can adjust font information, paragraph formatting and themes at the same time you see the changes reflected in the document! No more going in and out of dialog boxes! Includes an Undo command if you don't like the changes.
Pick-Up and Drop Formatting

   ScreenShot #1   ScreenShot #2
Say good-bye to Word's format painter. Now you can quickly and easily copy (i.e. pick-up) and paste (i.e. drop) all sorts of formatting information from one part of a document to another. Not just font and paragraph formatting, but also Borders, Tabs, Page Margins, Picture, Textbox and Autoshape formatting information.
Quick-Find Toolbar

        ScreenShot #3
The Quick Find Toolbar is simply one of the fastest ways to navigate around your document and to find and replace text. Using this toolbar you can quickly skip through headings in your document, find hidden text, move quickly from one shape, table, footnote, hyperlink, quote, or page to another, or find and replace text without calling up Word's Find dialog box (and much, much more)!
Window Management

   ScreenShot
Unlike many other window management macros which only allow you to tile or cascade all your open windows, this macro allows you to select a subset of the windows to be cascaded or tiled. In addition, you can also use this macro to quickly hide, minimize, maximize, close or print any (or all) of your open document windows.
Simul-Scroll

   ScreenShot
This macro allows simultaneous scrolling of multiple document windows and is very handy for comparing documents (among other uses)! When the macro is run, a small dialog box pops up and you can scroll all open, visible windows simultaneously line-by-line, page-by-page, left-or-right, or simply jump to the start or end of all the documents.
Document Notes

   ScreenShot
A separate pile of post-it notes for every document you have. You can quickly view, add, delete, edit, print, or rearrange your notes as you wish. You can even have the notes automatically pop-up when a document opens.
Document Variables

   ScreenShot
Unless you write your own macros in Visual Basic, you may not even know that documents can have variables associated with them. This macro lets you see all variables associated with a document, delete them, add new ones, or change their values. Now you don't need to be Visual Basic Programmer in order to access this feature of Word.
Multiple File Processing

   ScreenShot
This macro allows you to quickly build file lists which you can then open, print, or run any global macro or Word command against. It can save a lot of manual work of opening and closing files. You can even save file lists for recall at a later time. It's like a very powerful project manager.
Print Booster

   ScreenShot
A replacement for Word's Print Dialog. This replacement has several advantages. First it displays many of the common print options (such as printing hidden text, draft printing, updating fields, etc.) right in the main dialog box. Secondly, it allows you to insert page numbers, the file name and/or the current date to the headers, the footers (if they are empty), or the start or end of the document.
Gather Contacts

   ScreenShot

Tired of searching through documents looking for a website address, email address or phone number? Now with the click of a button, you can see all this contact information gathered together in pop-up dialog box.
Gather Fonts and Links

   ScreenShot
Have you ever shared a file or traveled to a location with an important document, only to discover that you forgot some of the files that were linked to the document, or you now don't have access to the same set of fonts? This macro will ensure that never happens again. It reports the files (and fonts) that may be linked to the document in one way or another and allows you to copy any or all of them to a common directory.
Display Button images

   ScreenShot
Word 2000 (& 2002) contains well over 1,700 button images that can be used on toolbars, or pasted into your documents. To see all the images, simply run this macro. A giant floating tool bar will appear containing 250 button images. The bottom line of this toolbar includes text buttons which allow you to scroll backwards or forwards through the rest of the button images.
Run Macro Repeatedly

   ScreenShot
Often I need to perform a very repetitive task in Word. Creating a macro helps a bit, but it can be pretty tedious running the macro repeatedly. This macro allows me to select any macro (or Word command) and run it once, twice, up to 1,000 times in one or more of the currently open document windows, or simply run it repeatedly in the current window until the Caps-Lock key is toggled.
Insert Any Date

   ScreenShot
This macro pops up a monthly calendar from which you quickly find any date and double-click on it to insert it into your document as text. It can be inserted according to a preset format, or according to a custom format which you can write.
Quick Bookmark

   ScreenShot
This is a real bookmark. In the real world you don't need to assign bookmark names or select from a whole list. You just pick up your bookmark and stick it where you want it so that you can find your place again later. This is that type of bookmark. In addition, it works across document windows.
Common Window Views

   ScreenShot
In a nutshell, this macro allows you to change the view characteristics of one window (toolbars, ruler, status bar, scroll bars, zoom size, and various display options) and then with a click of a button, change all the other active windows so that they have all the same display characteristics. It saves trying to change the same options in all windows individually! (Requires Word 2000 or later)
See Table Headings Ever in the middle of a large table and not able to see the table headings? Tired of scrolling up and down, left and right, just to make sure you're in the right row or column? Simply run this macro and in the status bar will appear the text of the leftmost cell for the row you are in, as well as the text of the cell at the top of the current column.
1. Save Booster
2. Save As Booster
3. Saved File List

   ScreenShot
Do you have the problem of saving files and later forgetting what they were called, or where they were stored? These macros may help you. They are replacements for Word's Save and SaveAs commands. They work exactly the same except that they also keep an on-going list of all files when they are first saved. This list of saved files can then be brought up at any time by running the 'Saved File List' macro.
Select Common Text

   ScreenShot
If you want to select an area of text which has similar character, paragraph, tab, language or style formatting information, simply put the cursor insertion point somewhere in the middle of the text area and run this macro. Depending on which option you choose, the area surrounding the cursor that has the similar characteristics you asked for will be blocked off.
Quick-Links

   ScreenShot

This macro is actually a drop-down menu that allows you to update, lock, unlock or unlink all (or selected) fields and links in a document with a single click.
1. Open Booster
2. Close Booster
Use the Close Booster and Open Booster macros to have documents open up in the exact same place in which you closed them. Not only will you be taken back to the same spot in the document, but all the window settings and viewing options will be maintained!
Edit Clipboard

   ScreenShot
Use this macro to edit the contents of the clipboard. After editing the contents, you can also use this macro to paste the contents in your document or to store the edited contents to a document variable.
Toggle TitleBar Running this simple macro simply toggles the title bar of the active document window to include the path name of the document file along with the its name.
TrueType Font Files

   ScreenShot
A simple macro that allows you to select any font available and if it is a TrueType font, the names of the actual computer files associated with the font will be displayed.
Cascade Windows Cascades all Open Document Windows.
Tile Windows Side-by-Side Side-by-side tiling of all Open Document Windows.
Tile Windows Top-to-Bottom Top-to-bottom tiling of all Open Document Windows.
Minimize Windows Minimizes all open Document Windows.
Clean-Up Document

   ScreenShot

Remove extra spaces from a document, replace multiple spaces with tabs or remove mid-paragraph line-breaks from text documents that were created in a program that didn't have line-wrapping.
WingDing Concentration

   ScreenShot
A simple but challenging version of the popular memory game. In this version of Concentration, the WingDing font is used to generate the card pairs.
